While I was in Prayer over the recent Christmas Holiday season and a very strong presence of the Lord began speaking to me about the present age church and I could sense such an urgency and even sadness of what has Infiltrated the original simplicity of what it means to be a Christ follower and then the Lord asked me the question if He was in physical form on the earth in today's Christian society, he asked me the question, "Would they Crucify Me?" and immediately the Holy Spirit brought back to remembrance and old Christian song from one of the first true Christian contemporary artist (John Michael Talbot) and his very controversial song called
"Would You Crucify Him" I Immediately tried to see if this song was available to listen to again and I found it on an old You Tube version you can listen to below and I would encourage you to listen to the words of the song are so POWERFUL. I responded back to the Lord and said, LORD, I honestly don't think so unless you came with the same Power and Compassion that is literally non-existent in today's 21st century church and then Immediately I felt what Jesus felt and already knew and a great burden came on me that I have never experienced before. Today's church is so far from the 1st Century church and what it means to be a true Christ Follower. The Presence of the Lord lifted from me and I was alone in my thoughts and realized how far the church has fallen through out the centuries and I listened to the song from John Michael Talbot again. It's exactly painting and revealing the state of the present age church now. I never want to be a messenger of negativity but something needs to change and fast in our present age church and what it means to be a Christian and follower of Christ Jesus. All you hear is about Money and Prosperity false teaching of OLD testament tithing and building a bigger church and coffee courts before church service, it's all become so commercial. Jesus was right when He asked me the question "Would they Crucify Him" or even recognize him if he walked into a Mega church service of today's 21st century church? Listen to this song and prayerfully it will minister to you in such a way to begin to pray for the state of today's church and what it should be. Just sharing my Thoughts and the conversation that I will never forget. Time is short my brothers and sisters. I believe in my heart we are within a decade now before all the seals in Heaven will be opened fully. We are close, but not ready, in the blink of an eye, is the church ready?
